Sending Good Thoughts

Sending Good ThoughtsToday I have a super quick card to show you. The best part is that it really doesn’t use very many supplies so it’s great for beginners that don’t have a large stash to pull from just yet.

The main stamp sets I used for this card are Happy Watercolor and Perfect Pennants.  I love the watercolor stamp because it looks like I spent time coloring the background, when in reality all I did was stamp the image twice.

For the water coloring I stamped the watercolor image in So Saffron, and then I stamped above it again without reinking the stamp so that in would be even lighter (Giving it an ombré effect).

I added a small flower punch, some bling, and washi tape to finish the card.

Sending Good Thoughts insideDon’t forget to add a little to the inside to give it a special finishing touch.

Welcome back to another round of the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

Today I’m sharing a simple card that includes a sneak peek of products from the upcoming occasions catalog and sale-a-bration.

birthdayThe image used is from the See Ya Later stamp set that will be a FREE set available during Sale-a-bration.  I also used Retro Fresh DSP, and it can be ordered from the Occasions catalog in January. Then I added stitching to the DSP, and I finished the card by adding Gold Sequin Trim.  The sequins are sooooo addicting! Lately, I can’t seem to make a project without adding them.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

Today I have a quick card to share with you.  I wasn’t able to get a very good picture, so it really doesn’t show just how pretty the embossing is.

With Sympathy

I used the Apothecary Art stamp set, and then I embossed it in gold embossing powder.  It was cut using the Label Framelits.  Then I water colored the flowers in Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry. The “With Sympathy” is from the stamp set called Loving Thoughts.

Thanks for joining me, now be sure to continue on the hop by clicking back or next.

Thanks for checking in on the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

I’m really in the Christmas spirit these days.  I’ve started listening to Christmas music and watching all the great Christmas movies that are starting  to appear on tv.  So of course, my stamping projects are Christmas themed.  I spent the weekend at a crafting retreat and decided to make a variety of cards using the Endless Wishes photopolymer set.  Here are some of the cards I created.

Bermuda Bay Endless Wishes

This card is stamped in Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, and Coastal Cabana. I also added a little piercing under the greeting, and of course I had to add some splatters from Gorgeous Grunge.

Simple Endless Wishes

This is a clean and simple card I created with Smoky Slate, Island Indigo, and Pool Party.  Then I just added a small strip of  Winter Frost DSP.  I think it would also be really cute to add some Island  Indigo Baker’s Twine to the card as well.

Gold Embossed Endless WishesFor this card, I stamped the images in Versamark and embossed them in gold embossing powder.  I also used Gorgeous Grunge to add some splatters above the greeting.  I really like this card, but if I were to it again I would probably stamp the creating on the card base so that it is easier to see.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards. Don’t forget to click back or next to check out the awesome projects these other talented ladies have to share with you.

Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

I’m sharing a super quick Christmas card today.  I decided to pull out the stamp set called A Banner Christmas to create it.  It’s the first chance I’ve had to play with this set, so I really enjoyed deciding what to make with it.

I used my trusty (and often ignored) stamp-a-ma-jig to create the design at the bottom of the card so that I could get the image lined up perfectly.

Thanks for checking out the hop, and be sure to take a look at the beautiful creations everyone else has to share by either clicking back or next.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

Today I have some cute Halloween themed treat bags to show you.  I don’t know if you’ve seen those adorable chevron tag a bag gift bags in the catalog, but they are awesome.  Although I love the chevron bags, I chose to create my own template to make similar bags out of DSP. Once you have a template, they come together pretty quickly. This is what they look like when they are assembled and closed.

monday montage-003

The tag on this bag was created using the Chalk Talk Framelits, Tags Four  You stamp set, and coordinating Label Bracket punch.

monday montage-001

monday montage-002

On this bag I cut the “Goblin Gummies” piece from one of the sheets of DSP. I also chose to close this bag with the Witches’ Brew Designer Washi Tape.

monday montage-005

monday montage-006

I made the tag on this one using an embossing folder to add some texture, and then I spritzed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. The saying is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

I used the Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper to make the bags. Once I assembled the bags I ran it through the big shot using the Finishing Touches Edgelits to give the top edge a zigzag border.

Here is the basic template I used to create the bags:

Thanks for joining me for another round of the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

I’m so excited to share this card with you today.  It features the new Thinlits Card Dies.  I fell in love with these the first time I used them!  They are super quick and easy, but you wouldn’t know by just looking at the finished card.

In addition to the Thinlets Card Dies, I used the Snowflake Soiree stamp set.  The greeting and sentiment are from the More Merry Messages stamp set. If you are wondering why you can’t seem to find these sets in the catalogs, it is because they are two of the few carry over sets only shown in the online store.  I also used the new silver ribbon, and Winter Frost DSP stack from the Holiday catalog.

Thanks for joining me for the Monday Montage Blog Hop.

Today I’m showing you a cute and really simple Christmas card.

Joy to the World

I had a sketch in mind when I sat down to make this card, and I knew I wanted to use the 2 1/2” circle punch.  I decided to use the Joy to the World stamp set for the greeting.  If you take a look at the set you will notice that the Joy to the World stamp is all one line, so to make it fit within the circle I chose to use markers instead of an inkpad.  I colored the “Joy” part of the stamp in Cherry Cobbler and stamped it on the cardstock.  Then I cleaned the stamp and colored “to the world” in Old Olive and stamped it just beneath “Joy”.

I hope you enjoyed this project.  Be sure to check back in soon for some cute Halloween treat ideas.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  I’m so excited that the Design Team Finalists will be continuing a blog hop every other Monday.

Today I’m showing you Christmas card.  I know you must be thinking but it’s only August, however, I start designing holiday projects in early July or August.  Past experience has shown me if I don’t start early, then it never gets made.

Special Season Christmas Card

Special Season Card Inside

The tree image on the front of this card is from the Special Season stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  I stamped it on Brushed Silver card stock, and then embossed it with Silver embossing powder.  This card is stunning in person.  The picture really doesn’t do it justice.  For the inside of the card I used Ornament Keepsakes and More Merry Messages. These two sets are on the carry over list that aren’t shown in the current catalog.

If you came here from Dani’s blog or started here, then be sure to click next to check out Elizabeth’s post and make the full loop through the blog hop.

Harvest of Thanks Hybrid Card

Harvest of Thanks Hybrid Card

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday.  I’ve been stamping the day away in my stamp room, and I can’t wait to share all of the projects I created.

Today I’m sharing a card with you that I CASE’d from this month’s issue of Stampin’ Success.  If you aren’t familiar with Stampin’ Success, it’s a free magazine Stampin’ Up! sends to each of its demonstrators every other month.  It’s packed full of stamping inspiration and techniques.  If this sounds like something you would be interested in receiving, then you might consider becoming a demonstrator.  Click here to find out more about the starter kit.  If you have been considering signing up, but you have questions just send me an email.  I’ll be happy to answer any concerns you may have.

One thing that I want to point out about my card, is that I created it using the Harvest of Thanks digital stamp brush set.  When I chose to CASE this project from the magazine, I realized I didn’t have the stamp set yet, so what’s a girl to do?  Buy the download of course! That is one reason I love My Digital Studio.  You can purchase a “stamp set” and get it instantly without waiting for it to ship. 🙂

Stepped Up Hello Dahlia Card

Stepped Up Hello Dahlia Card close up

Today I’m showing you how to take a simple card and add a few additional steps to create a slightly more detailed card. Although this is still a clean and simple card, there are a few added details that really make the card pop.

For this card I simply stamped the vanilla card stock with the dahlia image from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set in Basic Black ink. Then I punched out hello you with the 1 3/4” circle punch, and I used the fine tip end of the basic black marker to doodle around the edge of the circle. These few details really change the look of the card.

Here is the original card.
